Luxembourg Festival [22.-25.5.2015]

It is time to show off: The social media artist Wolf Nkole Helzle presents us with his latest project his myMatrix baptized net art platform to enable a shared picture of our Luxembourg, consisting of as many different aspects as possible.

Join over: Any Luxembourg citizen with their guests from all over the world upload their pictorial impressions via smartphone onto the server of the art project (lu.matrixengine.de). Depending on the next day, the picture will rediscover in the projection. What is important to you? What is your view? What is your personal Luxembourg made from? Are there any views that not everyone knows?

Interactive 3D Mosaic: The expected 10,000 images from this intensive study and meeting and of course a variety of perspectives on such a historically, culturally and economically very interesting place along with its residents and visitors who are experienced interactively in a framework established by Helzle 3D mosaic. It is in the period of May 22 - 25 on the big screen at Kiosk projected every night 10-5 clock on the Place d'Armes and anyone can interactively explore it by a touch screen.

I am we: A few days before the festival, participants in the global net art project "I am we_interactive image" (www.interactive-image.org) meet the annual user meeting and symposium with the theme "Encounters" in Luxembourg. They come from different European countries and photographically explore Luxembourg together with the artist and therefore already set a basis of images in the 3D space of the project.

Wolf Nkole Helzle: The international social media artist working primarily with photography, video, installations and performances. Many of his works are of a participative nature: viewer, guests, passers-by and visitors are part of the artistic process. One of the central themes of his artistic work is the question of the relationship between the individual and the collective. This question he asks in an international context, such as in the Ogaki Biennale in Japan and the international exhibition project media_city Seoul, South Korea. He was invited by the National Visual Arts Council, Lusaka, Zambia, and many German and European exhibition projects and festivals. After Luxembourg, his latest project travels among other things, in September 2015 to Beijing, China.
