Wolf Nkole Helzle is invited to photograph the population of Hashima, Japan. The portraits all flow in the MEDIA ART PIECE "... and I am a part", which is listed on Hashima Festival 2014. Provided are two large projections in urban space. At the opening, there is a Visual Music along with a Japanese drum group.
In the further course arises the collective portrait out of the 551 individual portraits, the homo universalis: Face of Hashima.
Invited by the Institute for Advanced Media Art and Sciences, Ogaki, Japan, and his professor Masayuki Akamatsu. Staff and students of the Institute accompany and support the work on site.
